Eugenie has been working in the kitchen of renowned gourmet Dodin Bouffant for more than 20 years. Their intimate collaboration lifts her dishes to sublime heights, stealing both the show and Dodin's heart. Despite the fact that they have a love affair with each other and he has proposed several times, Eugenie refuses to marry Dodin. This wonderfully atmospheric film takes you through cooking and eating scenes that, despite their length, never bore you.

In Le pot-au-feu, Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel reunite on screen as a love couple for the first time since their real-life relationship ended. Their chemistry brings depth to the film, where food and love are intertwined.

The featured dish, the French pot-au-feu, dates back to the Middle Ages as a humble stew made with cheaper pieces of meat. Now a beloved classic, it symbolizes both culinary art and affection in the film.

Originally titled La Passion de Dodin Bouffant, the film has also been called Le pot-au-feu and The Taste of Things, each reflecting its themes of passion, taste, and craftsmanship.

This film is a must-see, because:

1. This film is a true ode to cooking, eating and enjoying good meals with the people you love.

2. Director Trần Anh Hùng is a master in creating atmospheric films that gets you carried away.

3. The chemistry between the two leads jumps off the screen.
