Designed by Theo Ruth in 1947, this striking daybed was produced in a limited series. It embodies quality, comfort, and understated elegance.

 

Its slender, slightly tapered wooden legs, crafted from patinated beech, provide balance and a light, refined appearance. The raised back and rounded, soft edges contribute to its graceful form. As an exceptional piece of Dutch design, this daybed was exclusively manufactured by Eugen Schmidt Soloform (later Eugen Schmidt GmbH in Darmstadt) and Artifort. While many daybeds have been influenced by Ruth’s creation, the original model remains rare.

 

This piece has been reupholstered in a luxurious sheepskin fabric, ensuring exceptional softness and comfort.
