The canvas version features a shade where fabric is carefully stretched over a liner and manually fixed to a wire frame, while the bamboo edition is crafted from hand-sewn slats joined into a pleated mat a contemporary interpretation of the ryegrass cane used in Taito’s original model.

The lamp’s slender brass stem is intricately milled with a rattan-like pattern, achieved through expert metalwork on a lathe to create the illusion of woven texture. A brass plate secures the shade, completing a design that feels both light and enduring.
