Modular Midcentury wall cabinet 60's, Denmark
Modular Midcentury wall cabinet 60's, Denmark
A Scandinavian midcentury wall cabinet with a refined modular design. The piece is composed of multiple elements that can be arranged and mounted in different ways, allowing it to adapt effortlessly to various interiors and functions.
Three back panels in teak frame and rush-woven detailing, adding texture and a natural architectural feel. The system includes two closed cabinet elements: one with a hinged door and one with a drop-down front. In addition, the piece features a compact desk drawer, making it suitable not only for storage and display, but also as a small writing desk or home workspace.
One of the most distinctive details is the use of recessed handles, seamlessly integrated into the cabinet fronts. This subtle detail reflects the high-end design approach and craftsmanship often found in Scandinavian furniture from this period.
The cabinet has a warm teak veneer finish and a timeless Scandinavian expression. The cabinet is not marked with a manufacturer, but the design shows clear similarities to the work of Poul Cadovius and Kai Kristiansen.
