The Vanity Fair XC armchair embodies the values of timeless elegance, quality materials, and consummate craftsmanship that have established the Poltrona Frau brand as a renowned name. Originally known as "model 904" and later as Vanity Fair since 1984, this seat has become a universal symbol of Italian design.
Originally created in 1930 by Renzo Frau and recently revamped by the Poltrona Frau Style & Design Centre, this iconic chair now features improved proportions for added comfort and warmth. The solid seasoned beech frame is complemented by a handcrafted padding of vegetable and rubberised horsehair, while the seat cushion utilizes a combination of goose down and polyurethane foam for durability over time. The seat, backrest, and armrest are supported by a hand-tied steel biconical spring system and jute belts, with a decorative row of leather-covered pins finishing off the back and sides of the armchair. The armchair is upholstered with genuine leather and has a plate with gold finish bearing the Poltrona Frau® logo attached to the back of the frame.
