Rivet Box Table

The Rivet Box Table is a timeless and versatile piece defined by its honest construction and industrial character. Designed by Jonas Trampedach, it reflects a thoughtful exploration of material and technique, where function and process are brought to the forefront.

Crafted from untreated aluminum, the table is assembled by hand using a cold forming technique. Separate laser cut sheets are joined through visible rivets, creating a raw and tactile expression that celebrates the making process itself. This method was originally developed in 2011 as an alternative to welding, resulting in a distinctive and enduring design.

The form is simple yet adaptable. It can be positioned vertically or horizontally and functions effortlessly as a side table, storage unit, pedestal, or bedside piece. Its clean geometry allows it to integrate into a variety of interiors while maintaining a strong and sculptural presence.

Over time, the untreated aluminum develops a natural patina, adding depth and character unique to each piece. A design that embraces utility, material honesty, and quiet strength, offering both flexibility and a lasting aesthetic.
