Designed in 1962 by Bill Curry, the Stemlite was the first “total look” lamp a groundbreaking design that replaced the traditional base-and-shade with a single, unified form. Celebrated as “Most Influential Lamp of the Year” by Industrial Design Magazine in 1965 and featured on the set of Star Trek, it quickly became a mid-century icon.
Now remastered by GUBI, the collection reintroduces this timeless design as table, floor, pendant, and wall lamps, all true to Curry’s original vision. Subtle updates include hidden counterweights, enhanced stability, and new globe sizes, ensuring both safety and modern performance.
